The book of Ezekiel is not considered apocryphal. It is actually part of the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Old Testament. It is considered a canonical text in both Judaism and Christianity. The book of Ezekiel is a prophetic book that contains visions and prophecies attributed to the prophet Ezekiel, and it is recognized as a significant part of the religious and historical literature of both Judaism and Christianity. **

In Ezekiel 29:14-15, God is speaking through the prophet Ezekiel to declare that after 40 years of desolation, He will restore the fortunes of Egypt and bring its people back to their land. This passage emphasizes God's sovereignty over all nations and His ability to bring about restoration and redemption even after a period of judgment. It serves as a reminder that God's plans and purposes will ultimately prevail, despite the circumstances. **

The name Ezekiel means "God strengthens" or "God will strengthen" in Hebrew. In the Bible, Ezekiel is a major prophet and is known for his visions and prophecies. He is often associated with themes of divine strength, guidance, and spiritual insight. As an archangel, Ezekiel is believed to embody these qualities and is seen as a powerful and supportive presence in the spiritual realm. **

God demands that Ezekiel eat a scroll as a symbolic act to demonstrate that he must internalize and fully digest the message that God is giving him. By consuming the scroll, Ezekiel is showing his willingness to take in and understand the words of God, and to speak them out to the people of Israel. This act also signifies the importance of obedience and submission to God's will, as Ezekiel is called to be a faithful messenger and prophet. **

The third temple in Ezekiel is not the heavenly Jerusalem. The third temple is described as a physical structure that will be built in the future, and it is associated with the restoration of Israel and the reign of the Messiah. On the other hand, the heavenly Jerusalem is a spiritual and eternal city described in the book of Revelation, representing the ultimate dwelling place of God and his people. While both the third temple and the heavenly Jerusalem are significant in biblical prophecy, they are distinct concepts with different meanings and implications. **

The 40 years mentioned in Ezekiel 46 likely refer to a period of time during which the land was to rest and be given a Sabbath rest. This concept is similar to the Sabbath year and the Year of Jubilee in the Old Testament, where the land was to be left fallow and debts were to be forgiven. This period of 40 years may symbolize a time of renewal and restoration for the land and the people. **
